History of Kites | How to make a Kite | Kite Safety | Did you know? | Kids Page |
Remember Benjamin Franklin? Lightening and kites are not a good combination. Flying kites on rainy days or when there is thunder and lightening is dangerous. |
Just like lightening, electricity can travel down a kite line. Never use staples, paperclips, or wires to make your kite. Stay away from power lines. If your kite gets caught in a power line don't try to pull it down, remember, you can make another kiteyou are hard to replace. |
Trees and kites don't mix, so you probably shouldn't try to fly kites around trees. Fly your kites on pretty days with light wind and most of allhave fun. |
